She put all the delay and frustration down to a glitch in the system. which could be quickly straightened out by having a short conversation with Best Buy's manager. She called the Saginaw Michigan Best Buy store and asked to speak to the manager. She was put on hold for a good long time just to test her sincerity. Bill Nolastname finally answered her call. I began to wonder if they have a family operation over at the Saginaw store. They are all Bill, or Bob, or Vince Nolastname. Or... Paranoia... Do you think? Or... Could it be real fear generated by hoards of dissatisfied customers? Anyway, helpful old Bill says he will look into the problem and call her back. Now every horror story needs a suprise or two to keep the audience fascinated. Unfortunately, there is no suprise here. Bill does not call Leila back. Leila calls Bill back. It turns out that Bill is still working on the problem and will get back to her right away. "Working on what?",Leila wonders. How tough is it for him to get a hold of the computer technicians that work for him. Still no suprise. Bill never does call her back. They say that a watched pot never boils. I was watching. Leila began to boil. Once again she called Bill. He told to bring it in, Bill has everything straightened out and they will fix her right up. They sure did. |
