The cover up begins to take shape.

Once again Leila unplugs, packs, and hauls her computer and scanner over to Best Buy. She is confident that everything is going to be put right, at last. Yaa, right!

For a horror story this has damn few surprises. Try as they may they cannot get it to work. No less than five of Best Buy's experts work on it. (Take a look at this work Order!) CLICK HERE

The Lie:

"The scanner is defective." is the story that they come up with. What a ploy! It get Leila off their backs and sends her into yet another horror story of packing the scanner and shipping it back to Microtek. The good folks at Microtek are going to think that she is nuts because:

Surprise!

I'll admit, it is a one in a million chance. We take her scanner back to my house, plug it into my Packard Bell computer and it works! The scanner is not defective. Either Best Buy's computer technicians lied or they are incompetent. Would a competent computer technician return a static sensitive SCSI card without putting it in a static bag? These guys did. Would a competent computer technician loose the back plate cover and the terminator for the scanner? These guys did.

But Wait! Another surprise. When we plug Leila's computer in and try to boot it. It will only boot to the safe mode. Somebody has been poking their fingers into the config.sys file and changing the values. How do you suppose it happened?
